We are coders!

We have been learning to write algorithms today for Daisy Dino. We have learned how to use the repeat command and also to use 'when' to make Daisy do something when we touch or shake the iPad. We have made Daisy jump, spin, shrink, grow and move. It has been good fun!

Writing an algorithm collaboratively

Learning together

I can use the 'when' command

We can predict what will happen when we run the algorithm

I am going to use repeat to make Daisy do something 5 times

When I shake the iPad, Daisy moves and grows!

I am thinking carefully about the algorithm I will write

So am I!

My algorithm will make Daisy reach the star

I am testing my algorithm!

Shape investigators!

We have been investigating 3d shapes this morning. We are making our own top trumps cards to play with in the holidays. Caitlin thought it was a good activity, because you learn more about shapes. Harry and Luke thought some were quite tricky, but others were hard. Luke said it was fun but hard!

More brilliant learning at home!

More incredible homework from class 2. What a lot of lovely learning!

Amazing learning at home!

Look at Class 2's amazing work from their learning @ home! My socks have completely blown off again! There is some incredible art work and sculptures inspired by Hockney and Goldsworthy and a fantastic book about trees with top trumps cards! There is a wonderful seasons wall hanging showing the changes in trees and some great use of natural materials. Can you spot the Goldsworthy ice sculpture, with the really icy one in the background? Incredible!

More work will be shown on the next blog post.

Our amazing animations!

Our animations are absolutely fantastic! We have used all the skills we learned last week and put them together for our final animation.

Some of us were able to show Muss Yates our wonderful work.
